BatmanAvengers: Age of Ultron and now, Justice League. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Danny Elfman has been hired to compose the music for Zack Snyder’s upcoming superhero extravaganza , Justice League.

The selection of Eflman comes just as additional photography kicks off with Joss Whedon at the helm due to Zack Snyder stepping down to deal with a family tragedy. Whedon is overseeing reshoots as well as post-production for the film.

Originally, Antonius Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, who worked with Hans Zimmer and Zack Snyder on the music for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, was the original composer for the film but sources tell THR that he is now working on the new Tomb Raider film. No official reason has been given for Junkie XL leaving Justice League.

Elfman has quite a bit of familiarity with superhero films. He previously scored Batman 1989, Batman Returns, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
