Daniel Craig Confirmed to Return as James Bond in ‘Bond 25’

It looks like we’ll see the blond Bond one more time. After Eon and MGM announced a new James Bond film for 2019, fans were quick to note that Daniel Craig was not apart of the announcement. Speculation arose as to whether Craig was leaving the role as previously rumored but now it can all be put to rest. In a report by the New York Times, the confirm that Daniel Craig will be back as England’s greatest spy for at least one more film.

After finishing production on Spectre, Craig infamously stated that he’d rather slit his own wrists than be James Bond again. Though in future interviews, he said his quote was not directed at actually playing Bond but rather from exhaustion from the press tour. He has since stated that he would indeed be open to returning to the Bond franchise and it looks like a deal has been reached.

Daniel Craig returning shouldn’t be all that shocking either. Barbara Broccoli, who’s in charge of everything James Bond at Eon Productions has previously stated that they were looking to bring Craig back, partially because all the proposed replacements didn’t impress her.

Bond 25 currently has very little information surrounding it. All we know is a release date of November 2019 and that screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who penned all of the previous Craig led Bond films will return to write the script for this film.
