Injustice 2: Release Date for Starfire has been Leaked Ahead of Stream

Written By: Nick Poulimenakos

The live stream that NetherRealm Studios had scheduled for today is set to go live soon and will introduce viewers to gameplay footage of the latest DLC character, Starfire. The live stream was also set to announce when the character would be available to play but now, thanks to the PlayStation Blog from today, we know when the character will be arriving.

According to the end of the blog entry, Starfire is set to make her Injustice 2 debut tomorrow. As of now, it is unknown as to whether Starfire will be available to both Playstation 4 and Xbox One as the post came from a Playstation page but it’s safe to assume that the character will be appearing for both consoles.

Starfire will cost $5.99 to purchase but, for those who bought the season pass, she will already be available to play. For those who don’t have the season pass or the Ultimate Edition of the game, players will have to wait until August 15th to play as the famous Teen Titans character.

The Playstation Blog also posted the following for those who need a refresher on who Starfire is:

“As the next Queen of Tamaran, Princess Koriand’r found herself the victim of her fratricidal sister’s vengeful plot that resulted in their planet being conquered. Now a royal exile on Earth, Koriand’r uses her ability to absorb and convert ultraviolet energy as Starfire.

Starfire stands as the final entry in the first three-pack of downloadable fighters for the game, joining the likes of Sub-Zero, who was released last month; and Red Hood, who came out in June. And you know what that means – news is imminent on the next three pack of fighters, and we could very well get a glimpse during today’s live stream!

NetherRealm’s live stream will occur on 4pm EDT on their official Twitch channel so stay tuned to see what big news happens during the stream!

Injustice 2 is available now for Playstation 4 and Xbox One
