Just days after Tangled and Chuck star Zachary Levi was cast as Earth’s mightiest mortal, the DCEU film Shazam! continues to add to their cast.

In separate exclusive reports by Variety and The WrapAnnabelle: Creation’s Grace Fulton and Kingsman’s Mark Strong are both reportedly in talks to join the anticipated DC film.

Variety is reporting that Fulton will be playing one of Batson’s friends. Fans will know that Shazam is actually the alter ego of the young Billy Batson, who transforms into the adult superhero whenever he shouts the word “shazam.”

Over at The Wrap, Mark Strong is apparently in talks to play the role of Doctor Sivana, who will be the main antagonist of the film. In the comics realm, Sivana is a mad scientist who serves as a major foil for Shazam in the New 52 run of the character. What’s interesting about Sivana is his connection to an already cast DCEU character, Black Adam. When Sivana believed that science had failed him in his pursuit to save his family, he sought out magic. Specifically, the magic of Black Adam, who will be portrayed by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the DC film-verse.

David F. Sandberg is at the helm for Shazam! with a script from Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. The film will be the next DCEU film to enter into production ahead of other films such as Suicide Squad 2 and Flashpoint.

Are you excited to see these actors join Shazam!? Let us know in the comments and on social media!

Shazam is set to premiere in theatres in April 2019.
