After thirteen years of panel based tragedy, death, retcons, and editorial negligence, Marvel’s most iconic superhero group, the X-Men are finally returning to their rightful place amongst Marvel’s heroes. The X-Men brand, like the Fantastic Four, has been infamously discarded and neglected by the Marvel powers ever since the MCU matured into the powerhouse it is today. Why? Simply because Marvel can’t produce films or TV shows about them. This lead to mutants being less prioritized within the Marvel offices to make way for more Avengers-based stories. But now that Disney has purchased FOX, allowing the possibility of Marvel produced X-Men movies, The X-Men are reclaiming their rightful pedestal among the Marvel pantheon of heroes. And it all starts with a relaunch in the comics.

Uncanny X-Men #1 will reintrodunce the children of the atom in a big, bombastic way as per an interview with lead writer, Matthew Rosenberg. As per his statements given to, Rosenberg plans to rebirth The X-Men by having them do what they do best – suffering and saving the world.

“We are making Uncanny as huge as we can… all hands on deck, fate of the world stuff. … X-Men stories…need real danger. The X-Men go through more pain, hardships, and suffering than any other superheroes…and they always come out the other side, but that should be tested every time.”
