It looks like Marvel heroes Falcon and Winter Soldier will be teaming up for a potential limited series for the Disney streaming service.
Earlier today, Variety reported that Malcolm Spellman, previous writer and co-executive producer of the Fox series Empire, had been selected to write a series featuring the two superheroes though both Marvel and Disney declined to comment.
This development comes after the recent news that Marvel and Disney were preparing numerous limited series that would focus on characters from the MCU who have yet to receive their own standalone films.
Because the series on the Disney streaming service is going to be produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, the shows are expected to have a much larger budget compared to other superhero television projects. The large budget, an experienced producer, and a company like Marvel that’s dedicated to showcasing their characters could be the perfect combination to produce an interesting and entertaining television series.
