Pedro Pascal has been selected to star in the upcoming Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian, which will premiere on the Disney streaming service, Disney+.
Recently, Pascal has found success in a variety of television roles including Prince Oberyn in Game of Thrones and Javier Pena in Narcos. He’s also starred in his fair share of films with performances in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, The Equalizer 2, the upcoming If Beale Street Could Talk, and Wonder Woman 1984.
The series is written by Jon Favreau and follows a lone gunfighter as he travels through the outer reaches of the galaxy. The series is said to be set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order.
It was recently announced that Dave Filoni, Disney recently announced that Dave Filoni, director of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, will direct the first episode of the series. Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow are also set to direct additional episodes.
