We haven’t covered a rumored here on Talkies Network in a little while but this was one too enticing NOT to cover.
It’s no secret that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to look incredibly different in a post-Avengers: Endgame world. If one recent rumor proves to be true, it means the MCU will introduce a whole new generation of characters.
Take this with a grain of salt for now, but according to We Got this Covered,
Marvel Studios is reportedly developing a script for Young Avengers, a movie that’ll feature several teenage and young adult characters. The rumor states that the team will be made of Kate Bishop’s version of Hawkeye, Hulkling, Iron Lad, Patriot, Wiccan, Stature, and Vision — not Paul Bettany’s version.
First, the inclusion of Kate Bishop does contradict earlier reports of a potential Hawkeye show on Disney+. The character is currently rumored to appear in this proposed show centered on Jeremy Renner’s famed archer. That being said, a different rumor states that Bishop will be in Avengers: Endgame, played by Katherine Langford.
Stature is a character that has previously been speculated to make an appearance in Avengers: Endgame. An older Cassie Lang, daughter of current Ant-Man, Scott Lang, is reportedly set to appear in Endgame as well.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has also admitted that the inclusion of Cassie in the Ant-Man films was part of a move to “plant seeds” for the arrival of the Young Avengers.
While Iron Lad is also rumored, we speculate that Ironheart is a better lock for this film, given the current popularity of Riri Williams. Young heroes like Patriot and Hulking would be inspired by Captain America and Bruce Banner. Finally, Wiccan and Vision 2.0 are probably the children of Scarlet Witch and Vision, leading to more speculation that this film could tie into the Disney+ series’ on a bigger scale.
