Catwoman will make her way to Gotham once more.
Matt Reeves has found his Catwoman in Big Little Lies star Zoe Kravitz. Vairety is reporting that Kravitz has joined Reeves’ The Batman, and will star alongside Robert Pattinson, who is tapped to play the caped crusader.
Pre-production on the WB/DC feature is expected to start this summer. No official start date has been set, although insiders stated that filming could start in late 2019 or early 2020.
Kravitz is the latest star to join the upcoming Batman film. Jeffrey Wright was recently cast as Commissioner James Gordon, while Jonah Hill is still in talks to a major villain role (either Penguin or Riddler).
Sources say that the decision to cast Kravitz was made this weekend. A rigorous testing process that saw saw Ana de Armas, Ella Balinska, Eiza Gonzalez, and Kravitz read with Rob Pattinson.
Pattinson was cast as Batman at the beginning of the year. He replaces Ben Affleck, who was originally scheduled to star in the solo film, but departed the role following Justice League.
The Batman flies into theatres on June 25, 2021.
