Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski are said to be teaming up for Imaginary Friends, the upcoming fantasy comedy that is currently in the process of being picked up by Paramount.
If the deal is completed, Krasinski will sign on to write, direct, produce and star in the film and Reynolds would co-star alongside Krasinski. Imaginary Friends is said to be a Dr. Dolittle-like tale of a man who can see and talk to people’s imaginary friends. Some of these friends turn to the dark side and it’s up to Reynolds’ character to save the world from those evil friends.
Reynolds can be seen next in Apple’s comedic and musical interpretation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol as well as Michael Bay’s Netflix movie, 6 Underground, and Shawn Levy’s adventure comedy Free Guy for Fox/Disney. Krasinski is currently in post-production on a sequel to his directorial debut, A Quiet Place, which is set for a May 20, 2020 release.
