Peyton Reed, the director behind 2015’s Ant-Man and 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, has signed on to direct a third Ant-Man movie.
Paul Rudd is expected to return as Scott Lang, which would be Rudd’s fifth time suiting up as the lovable goof-ball who played a key role in defeating Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.
Reed made his directorial debut with the 2000 cheerleading comedy Bring It On and has made other comedies like Down with Love, The Break-Up, and Yes Man. He would go on to replace Edgar Wright to helm the first Ant-Man film, which would earn $519.3 million, as well as the sequel, which made $622.6 million.
Plot details for the upcoming film have yet to be confirmed but the supposed plan is to shoot at the end of 2020 or top of 2021 for a likely release in 2022.
