If you can believe it, Mark Wahlberg was actually in talks at one point to play Nathan Drake in Sony’s Uncharted movie. For now, it looks like he’ll be the film’s main supporting character.
Wahlberg is reportedly in final talks to play Sully, best friend of Nathan Drake, in the film version of the critically acclaimed video game. Drake will be played by Tom Holland, and the film will showcase Drake in his younger days.
Travis Knight is on board as director of the project, which is being produced by Charles Roven and Alex Gartner via their Atlas Entertainment as well as Avi Arad and Ari Arad, who are producing through their Arad Productions banner.
Rafe Judkins and duo Art Marcum and Matt Holloway penned the script.
The main games in the series follow Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter who journeys across the world to uncover various historical mysteries.
