Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy are set to be reteaming for an untitled time-travel adventure project for Skydance. Reynolds and Levy previously worked together on the video game adventure movie Free Guy, which will be hitting theaters later this year.
Both men will star and direct this untitled project and will also produce the project along with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger. The project is being written by Jonathan Topper (This is Where I Leave You).
Reynolds is said to be starring as man who must travel back in time to get help from his 13-year-old self. Together, they meet their late father, who is now the same age as Reynolds.
Reynolds recently set up the video game adaptation of Dragon’s Lair at Netflix and has several movies in the queue, including The Croods 2 and The Hitman’s Bodyguard 2. Levy is prepping for the upcoming release of the fourth season of Stranger Things, on which he served as an executive producer.
The duo are currently in postproduction on 20th Century Fox’s Free Guy, which will now be released on December 11.
