Ron Howard May have Released the First Look at Young Lando Calrissian

No, this isn’t clickbait. Given the amount of secrecy surrounding Disney and Star Wars films, I can’t believe this is even happening but, it is.

Over on Ron Howard’s official Instagram page, the director may have just released the first look at Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian. The untitled Han Solo Movie director took over helming the film after the firing of original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

While it’s hard to definitively say ‘yes that is Donald Glover as the famous Star Wars scoundrel’, it sure looks like it. Assuming that is Glover, Howard’s picture gives us a couple of exciting tidbits. First, it shows that Lando won’t be wearing his blue Cloud City attire which comes as no surprise. The second however is the more exciting reveal. While unconfirmed, the picture seems to show Lando sitting inside the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. Fans will remember that Lando was in fact the original owner of the widely known Star Wars ship but lost it to Han Solo. This also seemingly confirms that the film will touch upon how Lando lost his prized possession to the young smuggler.

Howard has slowly been releasing behind the scenes shots from the still untitled Star Wars anthology film and this week has been a big one. On top of this, Howard revealed a first look at young Chewbacca and said picture also hinted that he wouldn’t be the only Wookie to make an appearance in the film.

The untitled Han Solo film flies into theatres on May 24, 2018
