Disney’s live-action Peter Pan film Peter Pan & Wendy has officially cast their starring duo. Ever Anderson will play Wendy while Alexander Molony will play Peter Pan. Pete’s Dragon director David Lowery is on board to direct and will also co-write the script with Toby Halbrooks.
Disney’s 1953 animated classic is still one of the most successful adaptations of the J.M. Barrie novel about a boy who can’t age and the children who he stows away to the magical world of Neverland.
There have been numerous other versions on the big and small screen, including live-action Steven Spielberg’s Hook starring Robin Williams and Joe Wright’s live-action Pan starring Hugh Jackman, both of which were severe disappointments at the box office.
Both Anderson and Molony have limited credits. Anderson is set to play the younger version of Scarlett Johansson in Marvel’s Black Widow, and has also starred in Resident Evil: Final Chapter, where she played a younger version of her real-life mother, Milla Jovovich. Molony’s past credits include the Sky One series The Reluctant Landlord and the Disney Junior series Claude.
